Barry klassel
Wedding Celebrant
New Jersey
Barry will help you create a ceremony that is loving, meaningful and memorable. For all of us, ceremonies mark the important crossroads of life…and help us through them. The best ceremonies build bridges of understanding, caring and love.

Barry is a member of the American Humanist Association, the New Jersey Humanist Network and the Council for Secular Humanism. A strong proponent of humanist ideals, he believes that all the differences that separate us are not as strong as the bond that connects us – what we share as human beings. We travel the same major roadways of life and hit many of the same potholes along the way.

Since receiving degrees in psychology and theatre, Barry has acted and directed professionally in New York City and elsewhere. For six years he ran his own booking agency called Art Express before becoming marketing director for Tribeca Performing Arts Center. He has taught public elementary school, cerebral palsied children and senior citizens and served handicapped adults as a rehabilitation counselor. For several years he was a facilitator with the Child and Teen Assault Prevention Programs. As a volunteer, he has worked in a psychiatric hospital, with the PTA, as a co-leader in the Girl Scouts, on his local Board of Education Values Committee and currently mans the telephone at Contact-We-Care, a crisis/suicide hot line. Most proudly, he was the at-home dad for his two daughters and has been married for 35 years.

Barry is a skilled listener, writer and speaker who will help blend elements of tradition and individual significance into a unique, personalized ceremony.
