Carolyn Niethammer is an award-winning biographer with five published books and dozens of articles to her credit. In her work as a celebrant, Carolyn hopes to use her writing experience to help you fashion personal and original ceremonies to mark the significant events in your life. She believes that truly meaningful rituals can help you to deepen bonds with your family, your friends and your broader community.

Your desires for your ceremony are always paramount. Should you need some guidance, Carolyn can offer you suggestions for readings and poetry as well as many options for your vows and ring exchanges.

In addition to her freelance writing career, Carolyn has also worked in marketing communications at Canyon Ranch Health Spa and was an editor at the New York Times Syndicate. She has traveled through Mexico, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe observing and participating in local customs and rituals. She has visited many American Indian reservations and written extensively about the Native American ceremonies she studied. In her spare time, Carolyn has worked with community nonprofit groups in Arizona and New Jersey, lending her talents for precise organization to mount fund-raising and celebratory events.

Carolyn has a master’s degree from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the International College of Celebrancy. She has been married for 25 years.
