Moya Powers Keating Wedding Celebrant New Jersey |
|
Please contact Moya through the Celebrant USA Foundation. Moya Powers Keating, MA, has been making art in community settings for over fifteen years. Her work focuses on the endless potential for artistic collaboration to build community. Her process combines journaling, drawing, movement, spoken word and ritual. She believes that through the creative process, individual story and a collective vision come together. Moya brings the spirit of artistic collaboration to her work as a Celebrant. You will find her practiced in the art of careful listening. She is particularly interested in hearing family stories. In this way, your ceremony can be a weaving of what came before, who you are today, and what you believe should be carried into the future. Herself a first generation American, Moya believes that every ceremony simultaneously creates a mapping of our personal memories and our communal histories. Moya is well schooled in the academic study of ritual through her graduate work at New York University and the International College of Celebrancy. But more importantly, she is passionate about the real life power of ritual to inspire contemplation, joy and healing. With her husband of twenty-five years, Moya calls Chatham, New Jersey, home. Together they have a son in college and two teenage daughters.
