Trish Preston-Roberts Wedding Celebrant New jersey |
|
Trish Preston-Roberts views ceremonies as a vital way to mark significant events and transitions in one’s life and to give them added meaning. She believes that ceremonies and rituals intensify the psychological and emotional experience of life’s milestones. These events can be deepened through the involvement of family, friends and community. Trish enjoys working with those who wish to incorporate into their ceremonies important elements of their family heritage, their ethnicity, or any other meaningful aspects of their lives. Trish’s background is tailor-made for her work as a celebrant. Originally from Michigan, she moved to New York to study acting, dance, voice and speech. She holds a bachelor’s degree in comparative religion and a master’s degree in music therapy. Her studies have provided her with a depth of knowledge about various belief systems throughout the world. In addition to her private practice in music psychotherapy, Trish creates workshops and rituals that involve myth meditation, music, movement, and theater. She is also one of the founding members of Creative Heartwork, Inc., a nonprofit, creative arts therapy organization that works with children who have experienced abuse, trauma or loss. Trish has been married for 18 years and lives in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.
